Through a cross college collaboration, graphic design and landscape architecture worked together to design and build the Mississippi State Community Garden. The project included 12 garden plots, a storage shed, a wall mural, compost bins and a visual identity. My role in the collaboration was to design and implement the wall mural and the visual identity that was produced in steel letters, as well as incorporating type into the landscape of the Community Garden. The garden has received two design awards from the American Institute of Architects, as well as an Award of Excellence from the American Society of Landscape Architects.
